In The Beginning:
Our In-Home puppy training program begins with a home visit. This visit takes about 60 minutes on average. The visit includes an evaluation and assessment of your puppy’s personality and level of experience. After that, if your puppy engages with the trainer, we begin the training at that point.
Training begins as we evaluate your pups understand of the basic obedience commands. After that we talk with you to find out what your level of experience is. Then we discuss what your training goals and expectations are. Next, we develop a customized training plan and set up a schedule to implement it. Lastly, we show you and explain to you how to continue the training between our visits.
Our Basic Puppy Training Program
Great social skills and proper behavior are the cornerstone to becoming a beloved part of your family. To this end we begin by teaching your puppy to Sit, Stay, Come, Lay Down, and walk nicely on a leash. We also teach your puppy the Off, No and Leave It commands so that it can remain safe at all times.
If you have an older puppy that has some previous training, we can help it “brush up” on that training. By reinforcing the previous training, it does two things. It reacquaints your puppy with that command (or commands) and it also helps to further build the bond between you both.
We train more than just puppies. We train dogs of all ages. From puppies that are at least 8 weeks old, to adult dogs and even senior dogs, any dog will benefit from training.

Your puppy’s training isn’t just a one-time thing. After finishing Puppy Basic Training, you will need to be prepared and fully committed to daily training reinforcement. The old saying “Use It, or Loose It” applies here. Once your puppy learns all of the basic commands it only takes a few minutes a few times each day to go through each command to reinforce them. If you don’t do it, they will forget it, and you will both suffer for it.
